Dream of falling

Since I was a little child I’ve had dreams in which I am falling from a very high tree in the forest.
Sometimes I would even play the dream in the little forest next to our house. It only consisted of
a few very bushy trees and they were the first trees I ever climbed. I was maybe 4. I remember
climbing to the top (which was only like 2 m high but quite a hight for a child) and looking down and
through the bushy needle branches I could see the ground, covered in needles as well. I imagined
that the ground was only anothe row of branches and if I would jump I would break through
them and fall even deeper.

I jumped with a pounding heart and hit the ground with playful surprise and a shot of adrenaline.

    Lovely! I too have had similar dreams since I was a kid. I love the colors in this one, I love how her bright hair brings out her eyes!

    When i was young i LOVED to climb trees also! and i actually did fall out of a large eucalyptus tree when I was about 8. face first too…luckily i only had scrapes & bruises. :o)

    My dream was usually on a bmx bike about to go off the end of a skyscraper, but somehow miraculously I would be saved each time. Freaked me out every time, because I knew I had to go over the edge.

    I did fall from trees, it’s funny really. There was this HUGE Magnolia tree in a field in my backyard. I used to always climb it when I was a kid. I would dream I would climb up to the top as fast as I could, then I would pick a Magnolia flower and start falling from the tree. I would hit the ground but it was clouds or mist or something….I would always wake up before I made it through.
