Cute as a button, these Southern Dumpling Squids shine like semi-precious jewels under lights at night. Euprymna tasmanica, night dive Blairgowrie Marina.
Beautiful creature. How big would you say they get Jim?
They don’t get much bigger than this one, around 7cm long. A big fave of mine these critters I love the opalescent colours they have, they really are little gems.
Teehee! Little squid are so cute! May I ask which camera you use?
Hi Jonathon I use a Fuji E900 in an Ikelite housing with a single Ikelite DS125 strobe, I also have some Inon macro & wide angle wet lens. Its a great little rig which has firstly introduced me to UW photography and since allowed me to expand and learn heaps. Most of my work is macro which this camera is very good with.

Thanks. I would love to get into some underwater photography, but the gear is so expensive! :p
Yeah tell me about it, I’m looking to upgrade to DSLR and it’s frightening.

That looks kind of like my cuttlefish.
What a cute little bugger, Jim. I haven’t seen one of those in nearly 30 years.
Magnificent specimen! Well captured! Good luck in the challenge!!
Congratulations in the challenge, Jim.
I won eh!? Thanks Andrew, my vote was for that amazing Nautilus
of yours. I’ll have to go check-out all the results now.
