Have we had enough
I have seen people, including me, brought to tears just standing and looking at row after row of stones that go endlessly over hills for many hundreds of acres.
Over 185, 000 and growing everyday.
Many of my old friends, my wife, my brother and many other family members lay here at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis Missouri, USA.
The second largest cemetery in the world.
One has to have served in the military from the Spanish American war to today, or be a spouse, to be buried here.
Most, and the very recent, have died in battles abroad to serve our country.
Although I honor and respect the people remembered here at JB, for me, I have had enough of wars !

A very powerful image and a great sentiment Jim ! We get dragged into wars by the power brokers at the top, as we all know.

I wonder what it will take for man to realise that war is not the answer. I guess he has to learn about being a a human being first.
Nice shot Jim.

cemeteries tell the history of our lives and this particular one tells a history of our nations life. thousand upon thousands who gave the ultimate sacrifice so that we could free. beautiful, albeit sad, story this photo tells.
