Rejection
A humorous response to rejections at www.1x.com those of you who have tried to publish work there will know the feeling. I have had 4 images published which I am happy about but wish I could do better.
Its my brother in the shot not me but I expressed my feeling through direction from behind the camera.

Dude, I totally get this shot!!! I’ve had 3 images published at 1x and, oh, about 40 rejected!!!! Love this shot!

Ahh yes the joy of rejection. My frustration is I have had four images published but I just can’t reproduce the same kind of quality through out my work…..must try harder.

You should check 1x out the standard of work is amazing bit it can be a bit of a killer on the old confidence I think my success ratio is about 15% which could be worse. You should give it a shot it is very satisfying to get work published against such amazing images and frustrating when they are rejected.
One of my images will be in the 2009 1x book which is exciting I have one on order for the coffe table.

Hang in there I have had 5 published and I think about 26 rejected. It is frustrating but great when you do get one accepted. I am struggling at the moment for ideas which is annoying. Hey ho I think I just need to get out and shoot my way out of this corner.
