This is brilliant Ian… I love this series, so full of life and fun!
The lighting in this is really well done and wow, what a capture! I love the location description – Scary dark woods…. haha!
Ian James replied
Thanks Paul, Its was great fun especially trying not to loose our kit in the dark and avoiding jumping into the big muddy patches. I was also worried the bogie man would get us maybe next time!
I have more from this shoot that I will upload soon.

This looks like fun! Really clean with no ghosting of either subject. It would be nice to see more from this series.
Ian James replied
Cheers.
Its tricky not to get ghosting as its hard to know how far the flash light is going in the scene. Its certainly a challenging way of taking photos.

Sometimes I feel like light painting pictures can only be truly appreciated by other light painters who understand the technique behind them. These photos are more than just a ‘moment in time’ as this one is a 23 second ballet….
Dave Hiskey
good shot, ian….like the way the light comes from different sides..
Susan King
Great capture, like the location description

The classic amateur mistake is the photograph of someone with a tree growing out of the top of their head. I see you’ve avoided that ;-) [ducks for cover]
