After sunset, light falling, these many-colored leaves on a single branch, bedazzling, magical, in a small stand of trees in the middle of Celery Farm Marsh, Bergen County, NJ. How wonderful is nature around us! 20 October 2007.

Much later, I noticed the brown leaves are at the stem, as the passing browning moves towards the tips the green brightly accumulates in a farthest leaf almost ready for a launching take off. The leaf is oak, frosty cold made the leaves red in a palette of hues.
