From a worthwhile January 27, 2008, photo hike around South Mountain Reservation, South Orange Avenue, between Millburn and West Orange, near Newark, NJ, in Essex County.

Bubbles and leaves caught in ice beside a pond-like opening in the West Branch of the Rahway River, Essex County, NJ. Artist Ibou Ndoye thought this was a watercolor when he saw it hanging at City Hall, Jersey City, during the 16th Annual Spring Exhibition of the Hudson Artists of New Jersey, May 2008.

February 2009: First New York City showing (displayed vertically) in the SPACE & TIME exhibit at A Gathering Of The Tribes gallery, 285 East 3rd Street at Avenue C, Loisaida, NYC. Artist MiguelAngel ‘Miky’ Ruiz thought this was a painting the day I brought this piece to be hung … Thanks, Miky! that’s a great compliment for a photograph. This is the raw image, just cropped a tiny bit to fit a standard paper size.
