This is a beaut little spot in the Yarra Valley (North East of Melbourne). It’s right next to a little weir – after which the little park is named. The pines (or firs??) are untypical of the area and probably not native. This is what makes it so exotic and special to me – my oasis that I visit often. The photo was taken during the wet time of the year when this spot is a lot greener than the surrounds dominated by gum trees. I also love the dappled morning light and the different hues of the bark.
