peek a boo
Playing peek a boo with a white weasel. No matter how much I tried, I couldn’t get this little guy to sit still for 2 seconds! Photographed in rural Saskatchewan.

Adorable….is this an actual wild weasel?...or is it a pet ferret?
Heath Dreger replied
it is indeed a wild weasel…he was very quick on his feet!

What a find. A white weasel? I did not know there was such a thing. Not albino, just white. I will have to look that up in Wikipedia. Great capture, by the way and an instant favorite.

It is an Ermine in its winter phase, I think.
Marjorie Wallace
In northern latitudes, from late April to early October, it is brown with white underparts and brownish feet. From December to February it is pure white except for its usual black eyes and nose, and the black tip on its tail. That’s when the weasel is known as an ermine. A fascinating little cameleon. Here is more information on this interesting creature.
