My Inspiration
Born and raised in rural Saskatchewan, Canada. The “Land of Living Skies” is the backdrop for most of my photography. A true lover of nature; its beauty, its power and its never ending ability to amaze me!
Tools of the Trade
I originally started out with photography using a Canon S45. I managed to capture some amazing photos with this small digital camera. I then moved on up to a Canon S80. The S80 gave me some higher quality photos but left me wanting more from my photographs. I finally broke down and purchased a digital SLR camera. I absolutely love using my Nikon D80 to take photos. The quality is tremendous to say the least. I have a AF-S NIKKOR 18-135mm 1:3.5-5.6 G lens and a AF-S NIKKOR 70-300mm 4.5-5.6 G lens. Depending on lighting and mood I sometimes use an Optex circular polarizing filter to capture my images. I have recently added a new tripod and a Colkin graduated ND filter to my arsenal. Any post processing and retouching of my photos is done with Photoshop CS3. For the most part all retouching is minimal and only untouched photos will be claimed As Is.
Future Goals
I really enjoy outdoor photography and seeking that special object/scene that would stand out in a photograph. It would be a dream to make that step from amateur photographer to a professional one.
I have recently started to dabble with HDR photography. I have uploaded some of my HDR work and am hoping to improve those skills with time.
