a beautiful specimen and a nice shot! I love morphos. in april we have our annual butterflies exhibition at Botanical Garden so I will go few times. I wish you were close so you can also see it and enjoy… hey, I just took back the group “From the earth”. Ann wanted to close it if nobody was taking the group back. I couldn’t let this happen. lol

I love Morphos too.I´ve seen some big specimens in the wild in Costa rica and Panama.An unforgettable sight to see them flying in bright sunshine.The blue color of the wings is amazing.
By the way,this Caligo is from a different butterfly family,but sometimes has also beautiful blue wings(upper side).
