    What a beautiful pair! Cerulean blue – well named. I think this is a scarab beetle? A sensational catch, Jim.

  • Thanks.Yes,it’s a kind of scarab beetle.And one of my favourites,because of the amazing colours!In this time of year you can find them on the foliage along riversides.The blue scales of the male beetles shimmer in the sunlight and they are very conspicious.The females are brown,rare and very difficult to find.
