Thanks for viewing my pictures and taking the time to comment.Much appreciated!
I’m a dutch artist and nature-photographer(especially macro)currently based in N-Spain.
Beautiful shot! What a luck to find the Empusa on the muscari comosum (don’t know the english name ;-) I love those little flowers!
Thanks! There are a lot of these ‘Tassel Grape Hyacinths’ here in the fields at the moment.I was very lucky indeed to find this Empusa on this attractive flower!

Stunning, great work.
Wowie. What a critter, what a shot. Considering the numbers of beasts the film moguls have enlarged & developed into monster weirdnesses (ants, spiders, lizards with fins & sails attached to approximate dinosaurs, leeches, blobs, creatures from the Black Lagoon… the list goes on ~ OH! & Killer Tomatoes…), I’m amazed that this winner has never been exploited thus. I sent one of your shots to an entomologist friend who is still laughing. Of course, being an entomologist & a Three Stooges fan, he laughs most of the time anyway. These things are climbing (e-v-e-r s-o s-l-o-w-l-y) to the top of my list. Cheers for all of these macabre moments, Sheila
Yes,you’re quite right. It’s the perfect candidate for a new monster moviestar!!Cheers,Jim
