The last train departed 30 years ago
In South Australia’s mid-north there are many towns whithering away. Once centres for the surrounding farmlands, they are now bypassed for the larger regional centres and cities.
The only thing that passes through here now is the breeze, as it blows through theweeds and native flowers, now permanent features of a once proud railway station and platform.
Manoora – situated between Saddleworth and Burra

This is a great shot! Excellent perspective & detail. I like how you can still see the station sighn up as if they just up left with the last train out…...........well done :)
JimFilmer replied
Thankyou Glenn… it certainly is an interesting, if not quiet site
Maximus
really great Jim… I always thought it would be cool to renovate one of these old stations into a house. :)
JimFilmer replied
Lots of renovations needed to this one Max.. and it would certainly be a quiet life. Thx Max

Interesting shot. Quite sad too to see such a place in this state (pardon the pun!). I reckon there’d be some great interior shots to be had there too if you could get in, not to mention the bugs & other such creatures that would live inside!
JimFilmer replied
thx Marek – the building is actually fairly small…did get a couple of shots inside (where I could access)...still to come
