I love to see deer when I’m out driving in the country. They’re so beautiful. Nice capture James!
This area “Big Meadows” is known for it’s deer that you can walk right up to. Many photographers show up there in the evenings just before they appear! Thank you Sheryl!
– James Brotherton
Great capture hun.
Thank you Jackie so much!
How cool, James. Lovely profile shot. The wild deer here are up in the mountainous areas where I am incapable of going, so I am envious you are able to photograph wild deer like this. The farmed deer are so skittish (and dangerous), housed in paddocks with very tall fences so it’s hard to get a decent pic.
Thank you Belinda! Well this is a camping area and the campers often feed the deer, which makes them friendly and plus they are protected from hunters in the park. The bad part is they often get hit by cars because of this!
Oh that is such a shame for them to be struck by cars. Wild deer are not protected here, since they are an introduced species. In fact they are considered a nuisance as they compete with our native animals and vegetation as do the introduced wild thar, pigs, goats, and possums.
We have many transplanted animals here also, Emu birds and Llamas. They don’t run around wild but are on farms rather!
oooooh pretty great capture
