Black and White
This is a poem not about race AT ALL. This is about the good and the bad inside of all of us. About your “dark self”, that shadow self that you hide from everyone, even yourself. It is the recognition of that shadow that brings forth your “Light” that is within you.
Black and White
Rhetoric syllables
Chanting
from Black
and White
Designs
only recognized upside down
and not so far
away
where the sky
lands its light
out to the White
from the Blackness
inside
of me
