I first started painting on my first day at school. My Dad was recovering from knee surgery and walked me to my infants class a) ‘cos he is a softy :0) and b) for the exercise.
I couldn’t wait to go especially when I walked in and saw the paints on the table. I sat right down and started painting flowers…meanwhile my Dad went home in floods of tears! Bless.
Now I am a pet portrait artist, largly self-taught, although I did attend art college, and I mainly work in pastels. Occasionally I work in Acrylics or Artisan oils, pencil or watercolour. I love the challenge of getting the expression just right or the the fur to feel like you could sink your fingers into it.
