– Jill Reger
awesome shot Jill! That background rocks!
nice hood up with sparkly paint… I do admit I did clone in the one dark gap you get on the right when the hood’s up… made it less distracting
Giving away your secrets Jill. Excellent, just that bit of golden yellow makes it special.
thanks… the way the sun was hitting the metallic paint really made for a cool halo effect… that part was real :-)
Thats an sharp Chief, well done! – John
sometimes i think to myself “i’ve already shot that ornament 100 times,” yet i shoot it again and a completely different photo happens…
I am speechless on this work of art Jill….ok, I think I could find a few words…Supercalifragilisticexpialadocious! Seriously, this is amazing in color and framing.I like it!
thanks… i don’t even know how you knew to spell supercal…. what is that from again… the sound of music? or the flying nun?… thanks for the compliment… just got off the phone with Road & Track… they called me out of the blue to buy one of my photographs… just a average one for a buick… they are doing a little article about a 47 Buick and i just so happened to have that hood ornament
That is great news! How did they find or see it? Did they spot it on redbubble? Wouldn’t that be great to know if they had seen it here? Supercali came from Mary Poppins….Betcha remember that movie! :~)
see i said flying nun… but i was thinking mary poppins…
I know exactly where and how they saw it FAA goes to great length for image placement within google… if you google under the images section of google “1947 Buick Hood Ornament” my pictures come up #1 & #2… I keep trying to tell people doing car shots that it is vital to have make model and year because that’s how people search and shop them… when you do the google you will notice it is one of my least exciting photographs… but it was what they needed
oops… my last reply is long and might not show up as long because of the line space… just in case
thank you for the feature
