It’s almost wildflower season here in Western Australia and the native Everlastings or paper daisies (family Asteraceae) are starting to carpet the ground with their spectacular Spring show. The fields of lollipop shaped everlastings flower in shades of yellow, pink and white are found in various inland areas, often along road verges. Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon 70-200 IS L lens. Beautiful Jill! I’d traveled Western Australia in wildflower season once… but sadly so long ago I shot film and had no idea what to do with my camera other than point in the direction of glorious color! Hope I get to see it again someday but meanwhile, will look forward to watching the countryside blossom through your lens. ;-) This one is simply lovely, filled with happiness and light.

  • Many thanks for your great comment Sylvia…. hope you get to come back here some day, it’s a gorgeous time of year for showing off our native wildflowers for sure :)
