Mountain Zebras ((Equus zebra). Like the horse and the donkey, this animal belongs to the equidae family. Its binomial name is Equus zebra. The Mountain Zebra is enlisted as ‘vulnerable’ in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. This is a species of zebra that lives in the mountain regions of Namibia, Angola and southern Africa. The Mountain Zebra consist on a diet of grasses, a fact that puts them in conflict with farmers in the areas they inhabit. As agriculture has spread throughout the zebra’s range, farmers have taken away their natural habitat as well as persecuted the animal so that it will not eat crops nor compete with livestock for grass. The animal was at one time close to becoming extinct and its numbers are still a fraction of what they were at one time.

My favourite artist, Vincent Van Gogh once said “the way to know life is to love many things” and I hope those words are reflected in my photography.

Thanks for visiting and I hope some of my work resonates with you or inspires you as I am by other photographers’ amazing work here. Please feel free to explore and leave any comments.
