Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon 70-200mm L lens. Namibia is one of Africa’s hidden treasures. Home to one of the oldest and driest deserts, the dunes of the namib desert rise over 1000 feet in height. The sand permeates everything and Mother Nature is ruthless against all who try to inhabit the desert. This photograph was taken at sunrise from a hot air balloon over the Sossusvlei sand dunes. The light was constantly changing with the movement of the sun and the dunes seemed to go on forever.
