Nah no special lens, just the kit lens for this with no filters.. there was a great light from this shot because of the storm, and by doing it as an HDR and tone mapping the shot you bring out all the light that is usually not seen so that makes it a much more detailed shot and makes it look fairy-tale like..

I love the different layers in this image; the fence, the land, the hills, the sky. Also there is a beautiful clarity in this image. The mood of a storm coming up is very well depicted.

This is so beautiful… even though the storm is coming it looks very peaceful. The viewer is almost able to sprawl out on that grass and watch the sky! Its wonderful!
