This window is one of a pair of windows which were commissioned for the Chapel at TAS, (The Armidale School) in Armidale, northern New South Wales. Both the client and the Chaplain requested windows which would speak to the community of boys in a contemporary manner. However my first designs were roundly rejected by the School committee as being too modern, so after much discussion about subject matter I created two windows which would illustrate in text the Fruit of the Spirit.

So I’m now in my 60’s [how did that happen?!] and I feel I’ve finally hit my full stride- thought there’s still a stretch ahead! Born and lived all my life in Sydney, and loving it. Graduated from the National Art School (Randwick TAFE and East Sydney campus) in 1974 with a Diploma in Interior Design, worked for 3 years at Taronga Zoo as their Staff Artist, then took an apprenticeship with the stained glass master Stephen Moore. In 1982 I left his studio to take up private practice.
