A commissioned window to a private city apartment, completed in March 08. Finally got to visit and photograph the work installed. This is the same client who commissioned Spectrum. She is a keen collector of glass and has made stained glass herself in the past.

The panel is installed in what used to be an internal doorway and includes all her favourite colours (and some of mine!)

So I’m now in my 60’s [how did that happen?!] and I feel I’ve finally hit my full stride- thought there’s still a stretch ahead! Born and lived all my life in Sydney, and loving it. Graduated from the National Art School (Randwick TAFE and East Sydney campus) in 1974 with a Diploma in Interior Design, worked for 3 years at Taronga Zoo as their Staff Artist, then took an apprenticeship with the stained glass master Stephen Moore. In 1982 I left his studio to take up private practice.

Very interesting design on this one. The colors are very pretty, have a tranquil feel to them. It’s nice that the design doesn’t obscure the view to the outside. Nice photo.

  • thx Nana. the client had quite a big input in this work; she is in love with glass, used to make stained glass herself some years ago.. so it contains all of her favourite colours and none of the ones she dislikes! Fortunately we had a lot in common and she was sensible enough to allow me some leeway
