So I’m now in my 60’s [how did that happen?!] and I feel I’ve finally hit my full stride- thought there’s still a stretch ahead! Born and lived all my life in Sydney, and loving it. Graduated from the National Art School (Randwick TAFE and East Sydney campus) in 1974 with a Diploma in Interior Design, worked for 3 years at Taronga Zoo as their Staff Artist, then took an apprenticeship with the stained glass master Stephen Moore. In 1982 I left his studio to take up private practice.

Nicely presented image and thank you for including the artist’s statement… peace, my friend

  • Peace, yes! what do you think are our chances? any better with Obama? I cynically doubt it, but nevertheless hope it’s true.

    wonderful public art.

  • Sculpture by the Sea is an amazing phenomenon. literally thousands of Sydneysiders come out over the 2weeks of the exhibition to look at art! and not just art but sculpture!! (the poor cousin of painting) been going over 10yrs now and just keeps growing stronger.

Ok, so in other words the sculpture is an installation event? This Sculpture by the Sea is a temporary phenomenon? Regardless, this is so delightful.

  • even more delightful, yes, when you realise the effort they go to for a two week gig! I mean, these things must weigh a tonne! such creativity and ingenuity on display. every year I am in awe of the talent and the wit of the particiapants
