Drew this one during a very quiet period at the Designers’ and Creators’ Expo in Canberra last month. One of the other exhibitors watching me said "Ýou ARE bored, aren’t you?!‘’ but actually I wasn’t at all. There’s really 2x separate drawings here… took me a while to decide to fill in the bordered page. The empty page with the decorative border did have a certain power and I was reluctant to lose that emptiness…

So I’m now in my 60’s [how did that happen?!] and I feel I’ve finally hit my full stride- thought there’s still a stretch ahead! Born and lived all my life in Sydney, and loving it. Graduated from the National Art School (Randwick TAFE and East Sydney campus) in 1974 with a Diploma in Interior Design, worked for 3 years at Taronga Zoo as their Staff Artist, then took an apprenticeship with the stained glass master Stephen Moore. In 1982 I left his studio to take up private practice.
