Reproduction
Often get asked to reproduce painted pieces for other leadlighters: the rondel on the left is the original, part of a door panel; mine will be built into the fanlight above. I never do an exact copy (even if I could); it’s an opportunity to play around a little bit, within very defined parameters.

Thank you Jane. I have to be honest tho, I don’t like this style of illustration. It does have a certain charm, without doubt, but it’s not my cup of tea. What I do enjoy is trying to match the original artist’s intent. That’s the challenge and the satisfaction.
