The Party Tree{ Bilbo Baggins Eleventy-First Birthday} by

The Party Tree

On the night of his “eleventy-first” (111th) birthday on 22 September Bilbo announces that he intends to turn over his estate to Frodo, puts on his magical ring and vanishes. He leaves the Shire that very same night and is never seen again in Hobbiton.

Amused by his little joke Bilbo looks on with great affection from the steps of Bag End. The remaining hobbits, can still be seen partying late into the night, if you look closely you may spot Lobelia, or even mischievous hobbits letting off fireworks or racing full tilt in a wheelbarrow. The Green Dragon Inn and Rosie are also in view, while the center piece The Party Tree is still brightly illuminated.
