A deciduous, slow-growing shrub native to the eastern United States that usually grows 4’ to 6’ tall but can be 12’ tall. The flowers often appear before its leaves.
Also called Wild Azalea, Pink Honeysuckle, Rosy Pink Nudiflorum, Pinxter Flower or Pinxterbloom Azalea.
Blooms in early April.
