Series: my town Clock Tower on the Square in Downtown Franklin This is the Clock Tower that sits in the middle of my town, a four-faced clock that used to set atop the oldest courthouse in North Carolina, USA before it was demolished just across the street. These antique clockworks are kept repaired and are in working order. It was under these clocks that the last Confederate surrender east of the Mississippi took place (Main Street at Dixie Hall). The current Macon County Courthouse occupies the historic site.
Title inspired by the great Bob Dylan and his golden song. Photo taken in Historic Downtown Franklin, North Carolina, USA soon after the day of a time change, when Daylight Savings Time came to an end here in the United States.
