Raccoon looks up hoping for a treat. Gets one.
From way up on a tall wooden deck, I peered over the edge to see this pleading little masked face of the raccoon below on the ground. I couldn’t resist her request.
Since then, in summer this pleading raccoon frequently visits my yard. Sometimes she will climb a tree near my window and spend time with me as I work on a painting or sit and read. She sleeps and snoozes, wakes when I make a new noise.
She knows me. I sometimes wish that I knew her as well as she knows me.
Photo taken in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina, USA where wild raccoons live free in the forest around my home.
