Song of the Hollow

I hear a song within the breeze
A confluence of nature’s sounds

The symphony of stately trees
So deeply piercing fertile ground

The mountains rising in the mist
Recount a history known by few

The clouds above have formed a fist
A world above the morning dew

Fluidic rhythms from the stream
Tucked in by stones and Willow trees

This emerald valley lush and green
Convened by tiny colonies

I see a path cut through tall grass
Then wonder how this could be done

A gust of wind had made a pass
The pattern of a pendulum

This hollow knows not pain nor stress
Bedight by pastel coloured plants

I’m honoured to have been its’ guest
Held captive by its’ rhythmic trance

Song of the Hollow
