Another Winter Falls Into Spring by

A new daylight mirrored in the ice melts into its own reflection on dew drops still yet to form. Coffee brews from warm shadows and drifts across fog and storms and seas and shadows of desert sands that hide beneath the clay and silver washes of stars. Lay your head on my chest and feel the beating breath of spring and summer and days ahead that glow in the light of love’s song and the ever-present taste of art and poetry that climb across a soft cloud of a bedspread and rests upon my pillow and your still, soft hair.
Love always present even if I feel along. Both are an illusion… the darkness of isolation and the melody of a lover’s touch. And they blend together in a winter memory of summer days and spring blossoms and runs on a beach and the quiet whisper of another’s voice saying my name.
“Another Winter Falls Into Spring” is acylic on canvas 18″ × 24″ Dec., 2011. A scene of the banks of the Deschutes river in central Oregon. By John Fish

John Fish is a Los Angeles artist who paints abstracts, landscapes and portraits with expressive painterly strokes and heavily textured surfaces. I explore the way space flows to entwine objects that have no boundaries.

Ah…this, too…is so Lovely. Methinks you really enjoyed your visit to the NW part of this beautiful country, John! I Love all of your paintings of this area. And your words are like none I have read or heard~simply wonderful. Have you considered making a book of them: both the words And the paintings; I think it would ‘fly’. :)))
