It reached for something I couldn’t see. This branch leaned over the flowing water and grabbed at what I perceived as nothingness, yet knew was full of life and energy. The water below lifted to the sky and blew kisses at the hillside. They dropped like rainbow drops upon the rolling unfolding earth and settled in puddles that reflected my face. I smiled. The tree smiled back.
