The yellow, red, white mass of flame fell out of a picture-postcard blue sky and demolished the corner of Sister Harry’s temple on the corner of Maple and Ninth Street. She was just about to take a large gulp of bourbon from a tumbler from Mexico made with thick, rough, bubbly green glass. She watched as the glass melted and poured in large globs onto the table top, which also had formed large cracks. She wondered why her hand was unharmed. That was when she decided she was Chosen. For fifteen minutes she also quit drinking.
