Corner
Starting to rain. Or is is the drip drip drip of weeping for tomorrow’s imagined loss. I slip, trip and fall to the sand. I stare at the corner and study its green moldy walls. The dim light grows bright and I see the pattern of jasmine scented light fall over tides of sequin sparkling songs of laughter that drizzle over shadows. And what are shadows anyway. I strain to see what color they are. As if it were not enough to try and perceive the infinity of tints that fills the light. Always searching for more. I turn from the corner. And it wasn’t a corner at all. It was an opening. Hidden doorways are reflected in the mirror of desire. And I realize that is what shadows are. Doorways. And corners, just an illusion.

John.. I am so pleased you showed up before I go out to my day. Seems like a meditation piece on shadows and doors.. with a look at corners.. holding mites of dusty illusion.. gorgeous in its simplicity, your work.

a very meditative piece john, it reminds me of those old rustic buildings in the south of france or spain, the pink stucco tinged with green.
