Origami

08/07/2008

I’ve been folding lately.
This corner of my mind
to that corner
creating origami landscapes
for thoughts
with deep crevices
for the devil to hide in
and edges
of ideas
so sharp,
you could hurt yourself on them.
I’ve scrunched up failures
and thrown them in the bin,
pushed cranes
across a sea of light
and I’m watching my dreams soar
in the form of paper airplanes,
all pointy nosed
and determined
and I think
I’m able to tend
to the tiny paper cuts
on my fingers
all by myself.

This is so delicate and beautiful, yet so infused with strength and joy, that I’m suprised you can’t see me beaming from your flat a few kilometres away….I truly love this, Liebchen…and you. x

jessica…thank you lovely for the Bmail – even though the reason we are both writing it well, I wouldn’t wish it for either one of us. But this piece here, its utterly beautiful and it makes me take a soft intake of breath when I read it. You are so crazy talented…

what a fantastic metaphor, wonderfully expressed, a concept crafted and presented as flawlessly as a master oragamist’s paper product.

Reading this made me think about poetry as the oragami of language, constructing from the plane medium of vocabulary a multi-dimensional curiosity.

    I love it :-)

You are one of the most original poetic artists that I have come across in 2 months of looking at RB. You say nothing about yourself but I hope you are a professional artist in some field- so that others may see-read and enjoy your work.
