From the depth

Jess, this is so wonderfully composed. Though I have a different opinion to Kyra. This reminds me a lot of some album work that was done for a band Darkest Hour . While there’s warmth in the colours, the textures and greys of the skin appear to me as decomposition, so to me this is a sad, even sinister image.

Thats the beauty of interpretation though.

I just adore this picture. The overlay is divine – almost like a reflection from outside a window, and the warmth in the top left corner looks like sunlight. To me, this picture evokes a feeling of first light. Sunrise. The morning when everything seems possible…

why ‘from the depth’?

akustikstudio, it’s just how i felt about her…that she came from somewhere raw … i guess it can be interpreted in many way, i had a few different ‘depth’ thoughts about her, but whatever fits for who’s looking at it is right

Whenever someone’s commented on my efforts, I naturally go and look for a favourite amongst theirs. You have such a variety here! I know that I should loosen-up and experiment. Your work would be a guide….pointer?....inspiration?

Thanks Ozcloggie, i wish i could just settle on one style and make it my own, but there are always things i see or that magically work themselves into images without me expecting it. the only pointer i could give is to just be open to whatever presents itself…
