Surreal and fantastic :).

I was at the Melbourne Museum yesterday and thought of your work – there’s a brand new room full of taxidermy. It’s set up almost like a religious shrine, a carnival of the dead or a zombie animal parade.

Oh yeah. I wasn’t expecting it, just walked in unawares, and it quite took my breath away. It’s got an added appeal at the moment as it’s under construction, but viewable from the second floor. The mix of still animals and building equipment is odd. If you look around, you can see them unpacking animals through gaps elsewhere in the Museum.

The dirty feet… had you have washed them, the image wouldn’t be right. Although set up, it all looks naturally in place.
