This is my first RedBubble upload. My cat, Hendrix, is a beautiful looking animal with his green eyes and grey fur but he hates having his photo taken.

Taken on a Pentax K100D with an 18-50mm lens. A light sharpening mask (an Unsharp Mask to be specific) was applied during post production.

As others have already noted, this portrait is magnificent in many ways…

…particularly as cats are the most difficult of “sitters”!

Your craft in using shallow depth of field to highlight the “dominant eye” as well as the marvellous “rule of thirds” composition have given rise to a result that makes me feel I really “know” the complex “personality” that is this cat.

    Keep the great work coming.

(It’s always a thrill to encounter another “kindred spirit” via RedBubble!)

  • Thankyou very much Ron! That really means a lot :)

This looks like my partner’s cat, Feather. Great shot.
