I love the pose and skin tones, a wondeful image, the pattern of the top works so well

This is masterful because… first of all this looks amazing in BW and your perfect exposure reveals all those awesome details from the pleats of the leather boots to the awesome contrast in her 70’s patterned blouse, and up to the delicate curls in her hair. Then it gets really amazing… her expression is troubled, but so not posed… like it’s her nature, probably from the shape of her eyebrows. It’s just so compelling, and that has probably as much to do with you as her. A great photographer so relates with his/her subject to achieve such a natural expression, and you’ve totally nailed it here.

But the real beauty of this shot lies in your framing. It’s not enough that she looks troubled, but you’ve cropped close vertically to accentuate her crouched posture, so you’ve managed to tell a whole story of a thousand words with one perfectly orchestrated image.

I don’t normally go on like this, but some pictures just get me emotionally involved. This one sure has. Kudos to you for evoking emotion with your art!
