Jess Calke

Since attaining my qualification in photography a few years ago my career has mainly been within the natural world arena and I have been delighted with how my work has been accepted and that my photographs now hang in many houses to be seen and enjoyed daily.

Earlier this year I submitted a panel of work and was awarded the LRPS from The Royal Photographic Society. I plan to submit for the ARPS during 2011.

Through meeting other photographers at regional events and development workshops this year I am starting to work towards a change of genre.

I was very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to ‘shadow’ a sports photographer/journalist at two events this season and I really very much enjoyed the pace and flow of that type of work.
