One of the “little white woolly cows” grazing Walmgate Stray, York, along with 6 small black (real) cows as part of the pasture improvement program.
About 5 feet away from totally disinterested Girlies.

    I like your sheep also.
They are not common here in Kansas.
    regards
    Ann

  • We’d never had sheep on the Stray before this year, many of us are very unhappy about it, mostly because we don’t think it’s big enough for the sheep to run away if chased by dogs or foxes. MY dogs are not bothered – as long as they are hiding behind me!- but some dogs have chased the sheep with sad consequences.

    lol…cute!

  • Thanks, Carol, Girlies are brave if hiding behind me, those little white woolly cows can’t get at them if mummy is protecting! LOL

    Lovely capture, Jesika !

  • They are photogenic, but I really don’t think they should be in such a confined area. The farmer thinks it’s worth the risk and mixed grazing is environmentally better than sheep OR cows.
