I’ve been playing with exposure factors for several days, trying to create the illusion of speed. Should I have the background in focus and a slight blur to the cyclists who have provided suitable practice targets, or the other way round?
Serious fiddling with twiddly bits, slow shutter, higher ISO, change metering and IS…
I hadn’t expected Lindi to provide a REAL shot of speed, she’s not famous for rapid movement other than towards her lunch!
She’s at the full reach of the camera & lens, following Lucy on a great Troll hunt. She’s possibly even in focus, it’s a bit hard to tell under all that flying hair LOL.

nice action shot Jesika
Great shot jes, cute too!! :O)
Cool shot!
Hey jes, was she imported from Australia or can you pick them up easy or at a breeders? Great little dogs. :O)
Girlies have Australia way back in their ancestry. I believe their Great (4 or 5 times) Grandmother, Blue Lilac, came from Oz. It’s not easy to find Silkys in England, they are still quite rare, we had to travel for hours to collect Girlies. Silky Number One was American & 2-5 were/are English. Lovely little dogs, a delight to live with.
Thanks for looking in.

Lovely work!!
cyclist? thats a good shot jes, maybe crop it a little?
I can’t crop it any further Dougie, it’ll lose too much definition, the Girlies were too far away & moving too fast for me to get closer before they reached the fence the Troll hid behind! LOL

Excellent! Much prettier than a cyclist:))
Excellent capture Jesika. She is wonderful.
i’ll lend you my 500mm!
Thanks but it won’t fit. Next year a 100-300 (200-600 equivalent lens should be available…) If I’d had time to fiddle with a few twiddly bits, I would have been able to bring Lindi much closer, but I’m happy having proof that she actually DOES run! LOL
