If unfamiliar with the gorgeous male Orange Tip, you might wonder why I describe him as imperfect. I have two other images, posted earlier, one with wings open, another full profile as this is, which will help clarify the title. You should be able to see only a hint of orange in a closed wing side shot. View him large & you’ll see that he’s lost his lower wing close to the shoulder. The veins are also clearly visible.
It didn’t spoil his appetite or beauty!

This sky where we live
Is no place to lose your wings.
So love, love, love.
Human beings are members of a whole,
In creation of one essence and soul.
If one member is afflicted with pain,
Other members uneasy will remain.
If you have no sympathy for human pain,
The name of human you cannot retain.
