The campus of the University of York is rich in wild life and occasionally my camera is in the right place at the right time. Today I almost walked past a Tree Creeper just 5 feet away from me, exactly the closest my 300mm lens will focus. The tiny bird watched me watching him and even remained still for about 2 minutes, allowing me the chance of a life time.
Tree Creepers (also known as Tree Mouse) fly to the base of a tree and spiral upwards picking out insects with their narrow pointed beaks.

I try to make the perfect image, knowing that I can’t and won’t. If I ever did achieve perfection, what would I have to strive for…..?
The best camera is the one you have with you.

It is not possible with mortal minds to search out the purposes of the gods.
It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.

thus has Creation put the base;
One Limb impacted is sufficient
For all Others to feel the Mace ”
