Blue and Gold

There is a big tub under the bird feeder, seeds fall in, some are eaten, but some germinate. It’s exciting watching the tiny shoots and trying to guess what is growing. One year I grew brassicas which attracted white butterflies to lay eggs, wonderful photo opportunities. Last year I grew corn. This year weird green spikey things, maybeTriffids, and 2 lovely Sunflowers, popular now with insects, later the birds will feed on the seed heads in my York garden.

This sky where we live
Is no place to lose your wings.
So love, love, love.
Hafiz حافظ

Human beings are members of a whole,
In creation of one essence and soul.
If one member is afflicted with pain,
Other members uneasy will remain.
If you have no sympathy for human pain,
The name of human you cannot retain.
Saadi

“Of one Essence is the human race,
thus has Creation put the base;
One Limb impacted is sufficient
For all Others to feel the Mace ”
—Saadi (1184–1283)

“There is only one sacred manuscript, the sacred manuscript of Nature, which alone can enlighten the reader.” Hazrat Inayat Khan

“I cannot think that we are useless or God would not have created us. And the sun, the darkness, the winds are all listening to what we have to say.”
Geromino

Gorgeous image J, pin sharp and crisp, wonderful vivid colours, perhaps the prickly triffids were teasles., Mum had a couple of sunflowers came up on the patio by the bird feeder.

  • jesika replied

No, Sharon, the Triffids are not teasels, THEY grow in the front garden. I have no idea what they are.
    Thanks for looking in.
