Mr Robin displaying for the girls. One was interested and was replying in response to his calling, bobbing & weaving activities. I was able to get about 30 images before I reluctantly left this Romeo serenading his Juliet. It was very difficult selecting one to share.
Will there be wedding bells and the patter of tiny footsteps?

Very good capture indeed Jesika! American Robins look larger and the colors are more bright. Wonder if there is a big difference? Nice job.

You are right, Frank, our birds are different from their North American cousins. Size & colour vary. If memory serves, your Robin is the size of our Blackbird and THAT varies from yours too.

The other day I was digging the garden; stopped for a cup of tea and, looking up, saw that our garden robin was sitting on my spade handle – the bog standard, chocolate box shot of a robin and my hands were too dirty to use the camera. Life!

North American Robins are very different from their European cousins. But where ever they are, Robins are delightful, inquisitive birds. But I’ve only seen Montrel, Ottawa & NYC Robins, perhaps you grow them even BIGGER out there in Calgary.
