Nice shot Jenny, I like the selective colour, one suggestion for you on isolating the foreground, if you have a tripod with you and an ND filter, you might want to try this type of subject with a very slow exposure (perhaps 0.5 – 1 sec). Your f/g subjects are relatively steady, and the people in b/g are you would get a much more “natural” blur.

I’m planning a shot similar to this focusing on a beggar in the street. As I have been walking around the city lately I have stopped to watch these poor street people sitting their stationary while the world walks past them at a brisk pace… I want to use slow shutter to try to capture this.

When I saw this image, the similarities jumped out at me.

    NIce job

  • Thanks for the advice Brent, I have been thinking about getting some ND filters and a new tripod. Tripods are a pain to carry around but I don’t spose you can get the best results without one. Hope your shot turns out well sounds like a cool idea. x
