One of the most magical places I’ve visited.
For those who want to know…..
The town of Menindee is located 110km from Broken Hill and is surrounded by lakes fed by the Darling River. A water-storage project completed in the 1960’s now supplies farms and orchards producing such crops as grapes, rockmelons, tomatoes and apricots.
The combined expanse of the Menindee lakes is considered to hold more than three times the volume of Sydney Harbour when full.
There’s lots more history to this town if you’re interested…. but I too much to go into here…. : ))

A stunningly beautiful photo! It almost says “If you come closer I’ll scorch you like I did these trees”………..can’t beat an Aussie sunset IMHO…..

Beautifull image Jen. This is one of the reasons I like your photography.The colour is mindblowing & you’ve managed to reflect it off the water with great timing.The silhoutttes of the trees have added to an alredy fantastic sunset & the framing is great work.
